Mike Archambault Founder and Owner

Mike came to Arizona in 1972 at the age of 21. Having grown up in the construction business working with his father, Mike brought real world experience to a new and undeveloped area.

As a Registered General Contractor, himself, Mike knows the importance of builder and subcontractor partnerships. He knows firsthand how an experienced team can make a critical difference on a customer’s project.

In 1981, Mike started Wood Whims, and developed the company into one of the premier fine custom cabinetry shops in the Valley. For over 28 years Wood Whims has created cabinets for celebrity homes, luxury homes and new construction custom homes.
